Volunteering is vital to the success of the K9s for Veterans Abroad program. The support of our volunteers helps us to fulfill our mission in providing Service Dogs at no cost for our Veterans.
Cooking for our teams, military patrons and volunteers
If you are passionate about cooking and our mission, you are ideal for preparing home-cooked meals for our teams, military patrons and volunteers. We have a Volunteer Kitchen to use or you can just drop off your home cooked meal on our Volunteer Days.

Puppy Walker
If you love dogs and are looking for a way to give back while enjoying a beautiful scenic walk through our famous cherry trail, this will be just right for you.

Requirements to be a Puppy Walker include:

Be at least 18 years old

Attend a training course with our trainer to ensure that the dog you’re walking is being handled in a manner that is consistent with our K9s For Veterans Abroad program

Attend a Dog First Aid class

Sign a waiver
